  • compose new Message
  • amend Message:
at Supplement field, Right Click > Using HTML Editor to edit rich text supplement
  • edit Remark field of a record eg User record:
When create or modify the record, at Remark field, Right Click > Using HTML Editor to edit rich text remark
(of course, we can directly input plain text at the Remark field)
  • edit other multi-lines text fields, please try Right Click, if context menu Using HTML Editor appears, it supports rich text

The following figure tells us how to use the HTML Editor

Internal Link

It is very convenient that we can link all types of resources in the System: eg Message, User, Contact, Recipient Group, Attachment and etc internally HTML Editor. We can create the Internal Link by:

  • Drag and Drop: drag the record and drop on the HTML Editor. We can drag from:
    • the Subject at Record Detail Panel (suitable for all types of records)
    • the select records at Record List Panel (suitable for all types of records)
    • the selected Message in Tree Dragram (ONLY suitable for Message)
    • the selected files at Attachment Box (ONLY suitable for Attachment)

Remark: if we use right click to drag a Message, it will embed the Message content in the HTML Editor

  • Manually: press and use internal protocol cfc (client function call) and command RecordDetail (to show record detail)
    • eg cfc:RecordDetail?User!!pwong to link User: pwong
    • eg cfc:RecordDetail?Notice!!13 to link Message:13 (Principal Wong (pwong) Personal ROOT Folder)

Remarks for Internal Link:

  • For sending outside email message:
the Internal Link is useless for outside email readers, BUT if we want to attach anothor Message when we send the email, we can use a special internal link command RecordDetailFw manually eg cfc:RecordDetailFw?Notice!!13
  • When we link another Message (linked Message) in a Message (container Message) normally (by normal command RecordDetail or special command RecordDetailFw), it means we also forward the reading authority of linked Message to the all Internal Readers of the container Message
If we do NOT like to forward the reading authority of linked Message, we can use a special internal link command RecordDetailNF manually eg cfc:RecordDetailNF?Notice!!13
  • When link an Attachment from other Message in a Message (container Message), it means we also forward the reading authority of the Attachment to the all Internal Readers of the container Message
